While theological perspectives on Israel vary within our ranks, we the undersigned are unified in recognizing and honoring –

1. Holy Scriptures

The unique contribution of the Jewish people to humanity through writing, preserving and historically transmitting the Holy Scriptures, which have become the immovable cornerstone of Western civilization for believers and non-believers alike, reinforcing sacred family and societal values such as fatherhood, motherhood and care for those incapable of caring for themselves; and

2. Research & Innovation

The unique contribution of the Jewish people to humanity through rigorous research and innovation in all areas of science and medicine, which has alleviated innumerable sufferings and death of humankind from all nations worldwide; and

3. Defense and Security

The unique contribution of the State of Israel to the international struggle against terrorism and extremist ideologies, whereby it significantly contributes to the defense and security of the free world; and

4. Indigenous Bond

The indigenous bond between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel and their continuous presence in that land, which stretches back several millennia through the life and times of the Hebrew patriarchs, the Hebrew prophets, the Hebrew monarchs and the Hebrew sages, and acknowledge Jerusalem as the legitimate capital of the State of Israel; and

5. Sovereign Government

The right of the Jewish people to live in security in their own homeland, with a sovereign government and a robust and effective military, in order to preserve the only national refuge for the Jewish people from all forms of anti-Semitism; and

6. Tolerant and Inclusive State

The State of Israel as a tolerant and inclusive nation, in which all peoples, races, and faiths are welcome and where non-Jewish minorities such as Muslims, Christians, Druze, Samaritans and Baha’i enjoy equal rights and are free to practice their faiths and participate in all areas of civic society without discrimination; and

7. Peaceful Coexistence

The ongoing endeavor of the State of Israel to achieve peaceful coexistence with all its neighbors and the exhibition of its concern not only for its own welfare, but for the welfare of all its neighboring peoples;

Now, therefore, we staunchly oppose all forms of bigotry, hatred, persecution, discrimination and violence against the Jewish people and the State of Israel, and commit to praying as well as devoting resources to hasten the day when the Jewish people in the Land of Israel will coexist with their neighbors in peace, security and prosperity.
