In addition to Calev’s career as a Senior Partner in one of Israel’s leading commercial law firms, Calev is a passionate advocate for justice. Before pivoting his efforts to ARISE, Calev founded and ran the Jerusalem Institute of Justice, through which he successfully challenged the Israeli government in multiple Supreme Court cases on the treatment of religious minorities in Israel, and challenged Hamas and the Palestinian Authority at the ICC and other international forums regarding the systematic abuse of Palestinian human rights. Calev also serves on the Board of Trustees of the International Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists. Calev resides in the Judean Hills with his wife and five children, and is an avid athlete who loves cross-fit training, trail-running and Brazilian jiu jitsu.
Residing in the US, Shimon oversees the day to day operations and initiatives of ARISE. Prior to pivoting with his brother to the ARISE initiative, Shimon served alongside Calev as Executive Director for the Jerusalem Institute of Justice. A bit of a renaissance man, Shimon owned and operated a jewelry design and manufacturing company in his early life. He has been a singer/songwriter with television placement, a poker professional, and currently works in film production/directing. If you can’t reach Shimon, he’s probably out on a mountain stream fly fishing.
In addition to being the CEO of Epipheo, an animation studio in Cincinnati that he purchased and sold to the employees in 2021, Lucas is a father of 8 and an investor in a variety of initiatives, including multiple companies and projects in Israel. Lucas is driven by a desire to see more and more people invest their dollars into the Israeli Economy, and is working on multiple projects to make that possible through ARISE.
Marcel was born in Algeria. At the age of ten he was brought to Switzerland by a children’s aid organization, and he grew up there. In 1988 he founded the Community of Reconciliation, an organization that works in various conflict regions of the world and is dedicated to promoting peace and reconciliation between different ethnic groups. In 1994 he moved to Jerusalem to establish the community there. He is an authority on the current situation in the Middle East, particularly in relation to the Islamic world. Marcel has written a book entitled – “Islam, Israel and the Church”. His deep love for both the Jewish and Arab peoples motivates him to fervently serve both communities.
Fabio immigrated to Israel from Brazil and founded the Brazilian Sports & Culture Center in Jerusalem, and Atos Jiu-Jitsu Jerusalem where he serves as CEO and Head Coach. Fabio also serves as the Coach of Israel’s National Jiu Jitsu Team, which under his leadership has obtained many gold medals at European and international competitions. Since 2020, Fabio has acted as the Israel Field Director for the International Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
